Description

Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat has released Advertisement No. 4/2026 for 60 posts of Assistant Professor & equivalent across 25 disciplines under the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Community Science. Qualification: Bachelor's degree, Master's with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the relevant discipline, and NET (NET is not required in disciplines where it is never held, and is waived for eligible PhD holders as per the notification). Upper age limit: 38 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation for eligible in-service candidates. Application fee: Rs. 1000 for General/OBC and Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwD. Qualification

Must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is not required in disciplines where NET is never held. It is waived for PhD holders whose degree was obtained under the course credit system per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, and who have at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of 5 or more on the last date of application. Agricultural Business Management: Bachelor's in Agriculture/Veterinary Science/Community Science/Fisheries/Forestry/Agricultural Engineering plus MBA with 55%; OR MBA/PGDM with 2 years' working experience. Candidates must also secure the minimum PBAS/API score (44 out of 80 for General, 40 out of 80 for SC/ST) to be called for interview. Discipline-wise qualifications differ, so check the official advertisement.
