Apply to only one RRB. Multiple applications (to one RRB or several) lead to rejection of all applications and debarment from RRB/RRC exams.
Graduate degree must be held by 25 November 2026, 23:59 hrs. Candidates awaiting their final degree result are not eligible.
Age is reckoned as on 01 January 2027. The notification fixes the date-of-birth window as 02.01.1994 to 01.01.2007 for UR/EWS, 02.01.1991 for OBC-NCL and 02.01.1989 for SC/ST (upper bound 01.01.2007).
Other upper-age relaxations: Ex-Servicemen 3 years (UR/EWS), 6 years (OBC-NCL), 8 years (SC/ST) after deducting length of service; serving Railway Group C/erstwhile Group D staff and Substitutes up to 40 (UR/EWS), 43 (OBC-NCL), 45 (SC/ST); widowed/divorced/judicially separated women who have not remarried up to 35 (UR/EWS), 38 (OBC-NCL), 40 (SC/ST). Only the highest applicable relaxation is given.
Application fee: Rs 500 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS (men), of which Rs 400 is refunded on appearing in the CBT. Rs 250 for Female, Transgender, Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, Minorities and EBC, fully refunded on appearing in the CBT. Refunds are less bank charges.
Last date for fee payment is 27 November 2026. A modification costs Rs 250 per change and is allowed from 28 November to 7 December 2026. One paragraph of the CEN mentions 25 November for fee payment, so pay on the day you submit.
Minimum CBT qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL/SC, 25% for ST. CBAT needs a minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery, with no relaxation.
Medical standard A-2 applies (distant vision 6/9 and 6/9 without glasses, near vision Sn 0.6 without glasses, plus colour, binocular, night and myopic vision tests). Candidates who have had LASIK or any refractive surgery are not eligible. The eye specialist's vision certificate must be produced on CBAT day.
The post is marked not suitable for PwBD categories, so there are no PwBD vacancies. The 1265 vacancies are provisional, include 133 seats for Ex-Servicemen, and may change.
Verify with Aadhaar while applying. Name and date of birth in Aadhaar must match the 10th certificate exactly, and Aadhaar should carry the latest photo and biometrics. A live photo and a signature in running handwriting are required.
Selection Process
Single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 questions, 120 minutes, screening in nature
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): candidates shortlisted at 8 times the RRB-wise vacancies, community-wise, from CBT merit
Document Verification: shortlist equal to vacancies (1:1) on final merit of 70% CBT + 30% CBAT
Medical Examination (A-2 standard), followed by zone allotment as per merit and option
