Description
Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA) is a financial assistance scheme by the Government of Assam for male students from economically weaker families pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Introduced to complement the Nijut Moina scheme for girls, it aims to reduce dropout rates and support continued higher education. Applicant must be currently enrolled in Undergraduate (UG) 1st Year or Postgraduate (PG) 1st Year in a Government or Provincialised institution. Must already be admitted under the Fee Waiver Scheme. Family annual income must be below ₹4 lakh.

Eligible male students from economically weaker families apply through their educational institution, which verifies eligibility, income, and academic details before uploading data to the SAMARTH Portal for auto-verification. The Higher Education Department processes DBT payment after final approval.
