Description
Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Aasoni (MMNMA) is a flagship scheme by the Government of Assam providing monthly financial assistance to eligible girl students to reduce dropout rates and support continued education. Open to girl students enrolled in Higher Secondary, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses in government, government-aided, and provincialized institutions across Assam. Applications are submitted through the student's own educational institution.

Applicant must be currently enrolled in Higher Secondary 1st Year, Undergraduate (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) 1st Year, or Postgraduate (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./B.Ed.) 1st Year — not just a pass certificate holder. Polytechnic students also eligible across all three years. And Polytechnic (Government Polytechnic Institutions are explicitly listed as eligible)

Selection Process
Not merit or exam-based. Eligible girl students apply through their educational institution, which verifies academic and eligibility details before forwarding applications to the Higher Education Department for approval and DBT disbursal.
