Session 1 applications run from 24 October to 22 November 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Late-fee submission is 23-26 November 2026 and the correction window is 27-29 November 2026.
Session 1 exam dates are 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027. The admit card is expected on 13 January 2027 and the city intimation slip in the last week of December 2026.
Session 2 is scheduled for 2-7 April 2027, with registration from 5 January to 3 February 2027. Each session has its own application window and fee.
Registration now goes through MeriPehchaan single sign-on (DigiLocker, e-Pramaan or JanParichay). Keep your Aadhaar handy.
Make sure your name and date of birth match your Aadhaar and Class 10 certificate before submitting the form.
Upload limits: photograph in JPG/JPEG, 10-200 KB; signature in JPG/JPEG, 10-100 KB; Class 10 certificate and disability/UDID certificate in PDF, 50-300 KB each. A live photograph is also captured during registration.
The question paper is available in 13 languages, including Assamese at centres in Assam.
The Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus is unchanged from 2026.
Application fee for one paper at a centre in India ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 depending on category and gender. Higher fees apply for centres abroad and for multiple papers.
Selection Process
Computer-based test: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Planning); the B.Arch Drawing Test is on paper
Provisional answer key and recorded responses, followed by a limited challenge window (per-question fee)
Final answer key, then NTA scores (percentile) and All India Rank; if you appear in both sessions, the better NTA score is used, as in previous cycles
Qualifying for JEE Advanced (IITs) based on JEE Main Paper 1 performance
Counselling and seat allotment through JoSAA/CSAB for NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes; state counselling for state institutes
