Description

The Government of Assam, through the Higher Education Department, has announced the Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme 2026. Under this scheme, eligible students who secured 80% or above marks in the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2026 conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) will receive a free scooter to support their higher education. The scheme aims to encourage academic excellence, improve student mobility, and promote higher education across Assam. Eligible students do not need to pay for the scooter, registration, insurance, or helmet as these are covered by the Government according to the official guidelines.
