Description

The Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Assam has released the official notification for Assam VFA Recruitment 2026 for 200 Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) and allied cadre posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Assam. Candidates must have passed HSSLC (Class 12) in the Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized Board/Council/University. The age limit is 18 to 40 years as on 1 January 2026, with applicable relaxation for reserved categories. The selected candidates will have to undergo mandatory one-year training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science before appointment. The pay scale is ₹14,000–₹70,000 with Grade Pay of ₹6,200, plus applicable allowances. There is no application fee for any category of candidates. Online applications will be accepted from 3 September 2026 at 10:00 AM to 23 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. Selection will be based on an OMR-based written examination consisting of 100 questions for 100 marks. The examination will cover Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Awareness at HSSLC (Science) level.
