Description

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) Examination, 2026 (SSC CPO 2026). A total of 1,871 tentative vacancies have been announced for Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police, Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB), and the newly introduced Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university. Age limit is 20 to 25 years for all posts except Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF, for which it is 18 to 30 years (as on 01.08.2026). Selection process: Paper-I (CBT), PST/PET, Paper-II (CBT), and Detailed Medical Examination. Application fee is Rs. 100, with women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates exempted.

SI in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs: Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Final-year candidates can apply, but must hold the degree (result declared) on or before the closing date, 30.09.2026. SI (Fire) in CISF (Male only): Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, OR Matriculation plus 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobiles, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical or Telecommunication Engineering. Age limit for SI (Fire) in CISF is 18 to 30 years (born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008). SI (Executive) in Delhi Police (Male) needs a valid LMV (Motorcycle and Car) driving licence on the date of the Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests; male candidates without it can apply for CAPF posts only.
