Description
State Bank of India (SBI) has released a Special Recruitment Drive to fill 1,538 backlog Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) vacancies — commonly known as SBI Clerk — under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16, dated 7th August 2026. Important: This drive is open only to SC, ST, and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. General/Unreserved and EWS candidates are not eligible to apply under this notification. A separate regular recruitment drive open to all categories is expected to be announced separately. Online registration is open from 7th August 2026 to 27th August 2026. Applicants must be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university, aged 20 to 28 years as on 1st April 2026 (with standard age relaxation for reserved categories). Candidates may apply for only one State/UT and can appear for the test only once under this drive. Selection involves a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination, and a Local Language Proficiency Test where applicable. The Preliminary Exam is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, and the Main Exam for October/November 2026.
